Built around a licence.
The New Concord Info-Tech International Ltd is a Nigerian industrial company licensed to manufacture explosives, and licensed to import, store and supply them. From that licensed core it operates mining and quarrying, gemstone trading and lapidary, and heavy equipment supply.
The company was founded in 2010 in Ibadan and formally incorporated in April 2021 as The New Concord Info-Tech International Ltd (RC 1787616). But the credential it was built around is older than the company itself — Kabir Bukola Salami held an explosives magazine licence in the late 2000s, and New Concord grew out of it.
Fourteen years later that base has grown to over ₦5 billion in stock and assets, 200+ completed projects, and a second explosives licence: a manufacturing licence (Civil), granted in 2026, authorising local production of detonators, cast boosters, detonating cord and cartridge explosives.
“At the heart of our vision is a self-reliant and globally competitive explosives industry for Nigeria. What began with a licence to import and sell explosives has become a licence to manufacture them here. That licence is the foundation for local production of detonators, cast boosters, detonating cord and cartridge explosives — and for the supply-chain resilience Nigeria’s mining and industrial sectors need.”
